Please note that from Monday 26th September the 28 bus service will be operated by Buses Excetera instead of Arriva.
It will replace bus 73 between Chobham and Woking but will then run on to Knaphill, Brookwood, Pirbright, Worplesdon and Guildford
The service will operate approximately every 60 minutes on Mondays to Saturdays.
There will be no changes to single cash fares but some return fares may be different from those currently charged as we adopt a slightly different return fare policy.
New Bus service 416 and changes to bus 516 from 3rd September
We are introducing a new bus 416 which will run approximately every 60 minutes on Mondays to Saturdays between Leatherhead Town Centre and Epsom Sainsbury’s.
This will run at easy to remember clock-face times between about 0830 and 1800 and will provide a direct link between the two towns.
From this date, the 516 bus service will be no longer be operated by Buses Excetera but by Metrobus as its route 21.
Full details of the 21 service, which will continue to serve Boxhill and Dorking, may be found at www.metrobus.co.uk or on the Surrey County Council website.
Changes to bus service 479 from 5th September
We are adding some more journeys to the 479. In addition to all the existing journeys, there will now be a bus timed to arrive in Guildford at 0825 on Mondays to Fridays having left Epsom at 0710 and one leaving Guildford at 1610 which will arrive in Epsom at 1723.
One journey on Schooldays will now start at Banstead Station and operate via Fir Tree Road, Rosebushes, and College Road to pick up the normal line of route on the Epsom one way system and will operate via St Andrews School before continuing via Ashtead Pond and Leatherhead towards Guildford. There will also be an afternoon journey which runs via St Andrews School and terminates at Banstead Station on schoolday afternoons.
All St Andrews School route deviations will now operate via Ashtead Pond to give that area a service to and from the school as well.
There will be some adjustments to fares on this service but we’re also introducing a “479SAS” ticket which will give school students the opportunity to buy a weekly ticket for just £12 which can be used anywhere between Fetcham and Epsom.
